ONGOING COLLABORATIONS

FRAMEWORK AND INTENTION

The 'Lived Experience' lens frames these collaborations to make mental health language accessible. The narrative practices framework suggests that perspectives shared through storytelling can allow us to witness society, its systemic repercussions on the self and mental health through a person's process of meaning-making. Collective meaning-making allow narratives to shift when an open canvas can act as a medium and voice to be woven into a larger picture. Through this collaboration, I hope to facilitate and co-create with you.

The collaborations below bring this framework to life by co-creating conversations on what my collaborators feel drawn to. I rely on the values of the DTC methodology and narrative practices' guiding principles to ground the process in the culture of enquiry and free associative meaning-making.

WHY THIS COLLABORATION SERIES

I began these collaborative series as a creative form of advocacy along with the intention to emphasise on the importance of the lived experience lens in unpacking mental health experience that require a gentle unfolding into their own unbecoming. I believe voices who know this experience from their own trial and error of navigating systemic challenges, preconceived biases and language that conditions how we think rather than be. I hope these collaborations provide space and curiosity to reflect and create.

THE COLLABORATION PROCESS

If you are curious about collaborating with me, please fill in the form so I know what sparked your interest and what you imagine co-creation as. The structure, ethics, themes and communication process are mentioned in the form. I hope through our conversation we can create something together that removes the pressure of publishing online.

क्वीर कहानी (pronounced when reading, "Queer Kahaani'), Kahaani, in Hindi, translates to stories. The intention behind this series was to advocate for Indian Queer Voices by bringing visibility to a diverse range of perspectives, stories, and journeys in how Queerness, Queering, and Being Queer can be expressed, articulated, and reimagined through real voices that have chosen their queerness privately or publicly in the Indian context.

  • Petrichor - On Psyche and Earth (A Lived Experience Archive) - To be announced
Petrichor is an English word derived from Greek, meaning 'the smell of the earth'. This series captures mental health experience related to ecological loss and reparative experiences with the environment. The climate crises has been disavowed from the human unconscious experience. This series intends to bring language to experiences that elucidate the rupture in human and nature connection, by naming ecological grief and anxiety, while finding hope in rekindling a relationship with one's emotional and psychological needs in nature. I hope to bring these themes to life relying on eco-somatics.
