AYNI
An Initiative on Sustainable Care for Therapists

The Orchid symbolizes a symbiotic relationship between you and I with the intention of designing communication according to the core values of my practice - relational, process-oriented and authentic.
'Ayni' pronounced EYE-nee is a quenchuan word spoken in South American culture that speaks of seeking value and well-being in reciprocity and mutualism. I would like to root my intention of offering support to Indian therapists in these values, thereby being a guide and a witness to what the other needs in tandem with what I can offer within my professional capacity.
I believe I can offer only what I know, but you can offer a perspective to my offerings that I would like to hear about it. The offerings are semi-structured bearing in mind a balance between ethical and professional care that is sustainable and intentional, while allowing room for exploration of what is possible. This is where your voice comes in.
I believe that what can be offered will evolve, be open to re-imagination and rewritten over the course of these offerings with the endevour to experiment within the framework of sustainable care for both you and I. By being curious about the process, can we both tackle what it means to offer sustainable care to ourselves and work culture at our practices. I believe we both have something to offer when we come together.
OBJECTIVES AND CRITERIA TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS CO-CREATIVE PROCESS
This is for early career therapists (0-2 years) with clinical experience after completion of Masters.
EXPECTATIONS
-
This initiative intends to challenge preconceived notions of self-care and managing therapy practice one conversation at a time.
-
Ongoing conversations are a part of being associated with Ayni as a way to understand whether therapists' are thinking of selfcare in a sustainable way, and how we can think of sustainable care together.
-
Planning further conversations to form other initiatives to train and create spaces for early career therapists who align with sustainable self-care and practices.
LET'S TALK
I'd like to hear from Indian therapists (primarily psychodynamic as I am familiar with this approach) to share what they would like as sustainable professional care. Click the 'Drop Box' button and share your pitch, and I can suggest what we can co-create or build in reponse to what therapists are asking for. The 'Drop Box' will direct you to my email. You can also email me at psychotherapywithdurga@gmail.com, and I will reply during my practice hours (Wednesday to Friday 9 AM - 7PM IST)
PROBONO OFFERINGS
THERAPIST - CLIENT REFERRAL SUPPORT
INTENTIONAL AND SUSTAINABLE CARE FOR EARLY CAREER THERAPISTS
Support for you
The intention is to build your clinical practice while being in touch with the reality of finding clients to work with that match your approach, areas of support and fee. I will mediate communication for you bearing in mind an overall good fit between therapist and potential client.
